MY VILLAGE WILL NOT BE THE SAME

A human being is naturally created to move forward. This paradigm explicitly comes from the time of conception. Growing to nine months, the baby will naturally force its way out to see the world. The cry they make, according to some cultures, explains that the previous world “in the womb” was more comfortable than what he wanted to be. This explains why people in different stages of growth struggle to make this world better in terms of human development.

While many discover nothing, some find that their ancestors have built a foundation that will allow them to live on for generations. The former, however, must put in a lot of effort to succeed eventually so that, at the very least, their descendants won’t experience the same suffering they went through.

Square Ministries Africa understands that giving a hand to the young generation can transform Africa and any other place where progress and development are still a mystery. Early this year, we had a training in a rural area of Uganda where reading the Bible, teaching, and training the 70 vocational young people would transform the entire area.

After the training, sewing machines were distributed to a few of them, believing that after using them, they would be able to pay back and others would benefit. The process is too long, but they say, “When you do not have, you do not eat like the rich.” Among the 70, we gave only 5 people to pay back after 10 months.

That means this year, out of the 70, 10 will get sewing machines. Next year, more five will be added on. To finish 70, we shall need 13 years. If you are willing to join us, we can fasten the process. If we get at least 35 sewing machines, in just one year, all of them will have received financial capital to improve the lives of their neighborhood and build strong foundations for those who will come after them. Note: After paying back the machine, it becomes personal property. Some make cooperatives to work together, while others do personal tailoring around the growing towns in various villages.

Please join us in prayers and also in support of raising at least 30 more sewing machines needed to cover half of the school.

As we celebrate Palm and Easter Sundays in different styles, remember the reason Jesus came to us: “to seek and save the lost.”
